Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Should I see an attorney before I see my doctor?
A: Your health should be your first priority.  It is important to get checked out by the doctor first. The findings from your exam will show you where you are injured.  This will give you the information you need in order to decide if an attorney is necessary. If necessary, we can refer you to a reputable and qualified attorney.

Q: What if my car sustained only minor damage?
A: Documented studies clearly show that the damage done to your car does not correlate to the potential damage done to you.  You can have serious injuries even though your car has minor damage. Don’t judge your injuries by the damage to your car!

Q: Do I have to pay for treatment myself?
A: For most people the answer is NO. All car insurance policies have PIP (personal injury protection) insurance that will pay for necessary treatment after an accident and you may even have insurance called “Med Pay” which may add additional coverage for care. Do not worry!  Simply, call our office and one of our staff will explain this to you.

Q: Will my car insurance rates rise if I use my insurance to go to the doctor?
A: NO.  Your rates will not increase if you see a doctor for treatment of your injuries.

Q: The insurance company has been calling me and wants to settle. What should I do?
A: Do not sign or settle until you’ve had one or our doctors evaluate your injuries.  If you settle before you understand the extent of your injuries, you may not be able to use your car insurance to cover your medical bills. If you settle, you may be personally responsible to pay for all future treatment.

Q: I’ve been to the hospital and seen a medical doctor. Do I really need to see a one of the doctors with the Group4/ Community Chiropractic Clinic?
A: It is very important to talk to a doctor who has experience in the treatment and diagnosis of these types of injuries. Most hospitals will check your blood pressure, pulse and make sure there are no life-threatening injuries from your car accident.  They may release you from the emergency room with a prescription for medication for pain and inflammation. These medications usually treat your symptoms and not your underlying injuries from your accident.  Lack of treatment may often lead to future pain and problems.

Q: Does treatment hurt?

A: Absolutely not. The care is very gentle and quite soothing.

Q: Is the treatment safe?
A: Yes, Chiropractic and Physical Therapy is a well documented safe and effective treatment.

Q:  Are you close to my house or work?
A:  Group4/ Community Chiropractic Clinic has a local office close to downtown Cleveland, Ohio that is conveniently located for you.

Most of us can agree that discipline is one of the most important virtues we can develop in our pursuit of self-improvement. Without the ability to exercise self-control and will ourselves to get the important things done, it’s nearly impossible for us to see the kind of progress and results we really want in our lives…. view all

We started a tradition when our doors first opened in 2007 of doing introductions at the beginning of each class – a tradition which has been adopted by CrossFit gyms all over the country. Because we have created an inclusive environment, our members all know each other, support one another, and socialize in (i.e. at our quarterly Taco Socials) and outside of the gym. CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) executed at high intensity. At ShapeForce, you will not find any machines – instead, you will find kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls, sleds, and tons of open space for running, jumping, climbing, lifting, and throwing. The workouts themselves are completely scalable, which means that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. CrossFit workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness in and of themselves or as a complement to your sport-specific training regime…. view all
